Process Compliance
|
It is easier to determine what you need if you know what you have.
Process documentation is often subject to compliance with regulatory or corporate standards. Applying techniques and systems that show the alignment of your documentation to applicable standards increases business process effectiveness and efficiency.
Keith Burtoft aligns your process information with your targeted standards. His experience includes supporting ISO AS9100/9006 and CMMI Maturity Level 3 preparation and appraisal projects. He has also supported preparation and audit projects for Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S).

Designing Graphic "Maps" to Quickly Identify Compliance to Standards
|

|
|
Generic Assessment Map |
Background |
The client was required to have auditable Quality Management System (QMS) documents and records that complied with various quality standards. The client wanted to ensure that its QMS was in compliance with the standards. In addition, the client wanted an approach that would minimize interruption of staff resources to support compliance-related activities.
|
Diagnosis |
|
Documents and records associated with the existing system were company specific: some interaction with the client's staff would be required.
Some QMS documents and records
required by the standards existed, but missing items and revisions needed to identified and addressed. |
Action |
|
Created an assessment plan that limited interruption of the client's staff to occasional interviews and reviews with a core team.
Designed graphic "maps" to track compliance with each requirement and to identify missing items and revision needs.
Developed new and revised documents as needed.
Updated the maps as items were discovered, revised, and completed to provide an at-a-glance progress report. |
